a mental state achieved by focusing one’s awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one’s feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations, used as a therapeutic technique.

Tip to think about: To enhance your peace of mind daily, it is helpful to keep your awareness on the present and not what happened in the past or what could happen in the future. Gently accept yourself and your life…sometimes moment to moment until you can feel the gift of possibility only the present can provide.
