About Kerida

With over 10 years of professional experience in advanced manual therapy and functional neuromuscular training for chronic pain and pelvic health disorders, Kerida is dedicated to providing the highest level of patient care. They graduated from Marquette University with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and kicked off their career in a large, hospital-based setting. After taking a course through the Institute of Physical Art, they began treating patients experiencing pelvic floor dysfunction, advancing to roles within several private practice clinics and treating a wide variety of patient clientele.

Kerida remains committed to continuing education and has taken additional courses through the Institute of Physical Art, as well as Barral Institute and Herman & Wallace. They use a blend of these institutional techniques in their treatment approach — rooted in a core belief that physical therapy should also consider emotional, psychological, and cultural characteristics.

Maintaining an emphasis on overall quality of life and self-care, Kerida enjoys developing highly individualized, custom care plans that effectively address the unique needs of each patient. For Kerida, the greatest motivation comes from a patient telling them how they can now do a movement or physical task with more ease and less pain.

In 2021, Kerida expanded their professional background to include full spectrum, intersectional birthwork training, enabling them to better serve pregnant and postpartum clients.

Outside of the treatment room, Kerida loves to dabble in art projects, listen to sci-fi and speculative fiction audiobooks, spoil their cats, play board games, and enjoy the occasional Road Warrior smoothie from MOKA. Kerida also maintains an active community presence, collaborating and volunteering on a variety of social justice initiatives and mutual aid projects.

The greatest thing you’ll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return.

The mix of PT, massage and alternative healing is so obvious but is lacking elsewhere. The Nest is comforting, warm and inviting. The service was gentle, kind and knowledgeable. If I will go back, I will send everyone I know there!

As a movement professional and a coach, I have gotten so selective over the years about who I see and refer my clients to see for bodywork. The work I receive at A Healer’s Hand is — bar none — some of the best bodywork sessions I’ve ever received, and I’m grateful to have them on my clients’ side as well. The team is knowledgable, dedicated to loving care and collaboration, and the bodywork is beyond nurturing and client-informed. Thank you for helping me unwind and for your beautiful space!

I was referred to The Nest to have Physical Therapy work done on my lower back. I have always had lower back pain from golfing injuries and it has given me troubles through the years. This PT is different than any other PT I have done in the past where it incorporates massage and stretching to the areas that feel strained. Would highly recommend to anyone who has suffered an injury.
