Mindfulness Part 1: 4 Keys To Enhance Your Physical Wellness

Awareness of your whole self will help you avoid burnout from overwork, resentment from giving too much, physical problems from inactivity or stress, spiritual emptiness from lack of time spent in reflection.

Physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects of yourself must be in balance for optimal well-being. Below is your physical aspect of yourself and a few key choices to be aware of to enhance your physical health and wellness.

1. Eat Right.

Eat fresh, wholesome food. Avoid or limit sugar, salt and fatty foods. Replace processed foods with fresh fruit, vegetables and whole grains.

2. Drink Right.

Drink a lot of pure water.

3. Exercise Right.

Take time for enjoyable exercise. At least 20 minutes three times a week. Going for walks are good, but it doesn’t count towards the right exercise.

4. Sleep Right.

Get adequate rest. Find your natural rhythm and how much sleep you need to feel your best. Too much or too little sleep is counterproductive.
